The Project Manager is responsible for delivering fire protection system projects from planning through handover, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and client satisfaction. Based in Reading, the role involves budgeting, procurement, stakeholder coordination and leading site teams. The position requires relevant engineering qualifications and a valid CSCS card.

Обязанности

Define project scope, objectives and deliverables aligned with contract requirements
Prepare detailed build budgets and cash flow forecasts prior to commencement
Coordinate project start‑up meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Review and validate designs, specifications and system layouts with engineering teams
Manage end‑to‑end execution including procurement of materials, plant and subcontract services
Plan and supervise day‑to‑day on‑site operations to meet project milestones
Coordinate internal resources across design, procurement, engineering and service teams
Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, codes and best practices
Track and report project performance, costs and budget versus actuals
Prepare and submit payment applications, variations and invoice requests
Maintain client communication, attend progress meetings and provide clear documentation
Enforce quality, safety and environmental standards and support HSEQ audits
Lead and mentor site teams, subcontractors and junior staff

Требования

Proven track record managing fire protection or building services projects from design to installation
Strong budget management, cost control and commercial contract administration experience
Solid knowledge of fire alarm, suppression, emergency voice and dry riser systems
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and self‑delivery teams effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer‑first approach
Capability to interpret technical drawings, system schematics and compliance documents
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
Valid CSCS card, SMSTS certification and full UK driving licence

Office‑based role located in Reading, England
